Terms of Service

Last updated July 11, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Watchdogs. Please read them carefully — they cover acceptable use, compliance with the platforms we source from, and the limits of the forecasts we produce.

01

The service

Watchdogs is a market-research tool that mines public online conversations — transcripts, comments, and posting patterns across supported platforms — and presents how signal shifts over time as a diff, along with themes, evidence, alerts, forecasts, and measurable bets. These Terms govern your access to and use of the service.

02

Acceptance

By accessing or using Watchdogs you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

03

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law;
  • circumvent, disable, or exceed the rate limits, quotas, or terms of any third-party platform or API;
  • attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure;
  • use the service to harass individuals, or to re-identify, profile, or target people in ways that violate their rights or platform rules.
04

Third-party platforms & API compliance

Watchdogs retrieves data through third-party platforms and APIs (including the YouTube Data API and the Reddit API). Your use is also subject to those providers’ terms and policies. You are responsible for ensuring your watches — including any API keys you supply — comply with the relevant platform terms of service and quota limits. We are not responsible for changes, outages, or quota limits imposed by upstream providers.

05

No investment or professional advice

Watchdogs produces probabilistic estimates — bets, trajectory confidences, and forecasts — derived from public discourse. These are informational only and are not financial, investment, legal, medical, or other professional advice, and are not guarantees of any outcome. Any decision you make based on Watchdogs output is your own responsibility.

06

Accuracy & limitations

Signal is mined from samples of public content and interpreted by automated models. Results can be incomplete, unrepresentative, biased, or wrong: samples may not reflect a whole audience, extraction can misread intent, and forecasts are inherently uncertain. Treat Watchdogs as a research aid to be verified against its underlying evidence, not as ground truth.

07

Intellectual property

The Watchdogs application, its design, and its underlying software are owned by us or our licensors. Content analyzed by the service remains the property of its original authors and the platforms that host it. Your watch configurations remain yours.

08

Availability & changes

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and cycles may be delayed or skipped due to upstream quotas or outages.

09

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

10

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Watchdogs and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or business, arising out of or related to your use of — or inability to use — the service.

11

Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your watches at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated or to protect the service and its users.

12

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
